MDG Doll Heads

Hey hey hey... apparently Monday again. Well well what was eventful last week? Me and ma gurls Hanis n Fiqa did a hairshow for Wella again...and this time my hair (and me) have been changed from coconut husk head to to a hot and sassy red head! Im lovin the new hair! We had a ball of a time the three of us. We couldn't just sit still. I couldn't stop bugging the girls as usual and vice versa... just that Fiqa is not so good (sucks) at bugging but is a delight to be bugged! eheh. Me and Hanis had a ball of a time!
So the guys who did our hair were 2 Japanese guys and 1 Taiwanese guy. One of the 2 Japanese guys couldn't speak English whereas the other sounded like he been in US for quite a bit. So well it was a long two days but here are some things that made it memorable:

1. I initially tried on something very elegant and sexy... but then those Japanese men decided that i should wear this fully lace black dress... with (a lame excuse for) a shorts and a tiny tube inside. I wasn't thrilled but ... i guess it wasn't that bad. So they decided I was thier lace girl and they used something called hair lace on me.... yeap its real human hair made into lace, wrapped around and pinned ove my face! I tell u it smelled like oil! no not coconut oil ...like the natural oils secreted from human head! And I have no idea how many diff heads did those hair come from! Yaks!

2. Due to the English language barrier we were served with a few unintended jokes ....

scene 1: Mr. Taiwan n Mr. Jap who no speaka english are doing my hair.

Mr. Taiwan,"Is this your helmet?"

Jay "What?"

Mr. Taiwan, putting something on the table "This..is this your helmet?"

Jay I had been unaware that my cap hat fallen down!"That's called a cap darling"

Mr. Taiwan "oh its not helmet?"

Jay "No, no. Helmet can protect your head. Like for motorbike or bicycle you know?"

~we all laugh happily ever after~



scene 2: Mr. Jap who no speaka English is washing Hanis' hair after the show. He had been talking about a technique of cutting hair called swish blade or switch blade or something and one of the other models had over heard it.

Model "hey did you create the swish blade technique?"

Mr. Jap "Thank you"

Well the poor guy thought that the model told him he was great or something like that! But its ok ...we found a translator and all had a good laugh after! Kawaiiii! yeah that is one of the two Jap words I know. The other is Baka ~_~

3. Hanis' make up is called the Americana... sounds like a kind or coffee to me.Here is us clownin around. In case you are wondering they didn't bleach her hair. Those were just stuck onto her head.

Ok next I head on down to Ara Damansara to meet Alison... cos before the show we had gone for a casting together with Fiqa for Honda. The models had been shortlisted but the clients wanted to see us first, and the lady who was booking me told me that I could bring my friends who would like to try out as well. So I did la. But monkey Hanis didn't bother reading her sms! Aaaaanyway When I went for the audition I had left my shades so Aly picked em up for me. So the plan was to meet after Wella show.

Me n fiqa rush down so that we don't get caught in the jam. It was 5 but we somehow managed to beat it. Before meeting Aly we stop at the Studio / Office where all the MDG stuff went on. I don't know what I was expecting but the people seemed indifferent to us now....anywhose ...after having a drink at the mamak yang Sedap (cos its name is Sedap) I get invited to Aly's house. Fiqa has to go home so she does... At Aly's I feel most welcomed...her mom is a lovely lady. I carry her lil nephew for awhile and constantly sniff him! I love the smell of babies! He was just the sweetest thing but I was chicken that I may carry him wrongly. Then there was her Lil niece who is excited too see me cos she is my ardent supporter...but she is very shy! She is a smart lil girl I can see by the way she talks and carries herself.

I also met 2 of her sisters...one the baby of the house and the other the mother of two of the babies i just mentioned and her better half. Last but not least was her Dalmatian called Cash $
Oh and did I mention I was treated to a homemade dinner as well? swell!That's me and the Victors! Dont you think I fit in so well? Hrm...if you haven't noticed I'm wearing my Mrs. Timberlake t-shirt in hope that Justin might actually google it up and find me...eheh

Today I have an Interview with Capital FM to read the news. Ive to come up with my own news script. They already have one prepared for me but I have to write one to demonstrate my writing skills.... So in a bit of a rush right now but just felt like dropping a line or two...which is quite weird cos of such a long absence and now when I feel like writing I dont have much time to spend on it . heh =p Weirdness! Anywho... I also wana share some pics with you all =) Yea so comments are most welcomed...from haters as well if u must. See im so kind...before this if you wanted to comment on my blog u had to be a blogger...no anonymous comments allowed but after this one poor hater had to create a blog merely to add a comment on my page... I felt sorry for his/her sorry soul. So now all anons invited! Haters and Ma Peoples! Oh by the way I had met Blogger Jaclyn that day in Poppy...or was it Passion? I dunno... dont really go there but she so made my day or week or perhaps even year! She said 'its the happiest day of her life' Why? "cos she got to meet Jay the hottest Malaysian Dreamgirl" OMG thats like the best compliment anyone can ever give you man! "happiest day of my life?""WOWWEEEEEEEEEEE". I feel so touched man! So awesome! So humbling at d same time.

OK now for the pictures of me and Jaclyn!
No...we didnt have a drunk photographer the picture was well composed just that I looked awful! Like super yucks... But she is so cute! Well below is a decent pic of me from that night...yes Im wearing like some freaking long sleve wooly a bit outfit that why I was so hot and sweaty...but judging from the pic below I looked Nice from Far =) Plus Ive been wanting to wear that top for a while now and never got the chance....I will have a separate post for the top I promise! Hrm... yea N also the guy in the picture which is Jac's fren Chris is quite hot too... no not jus cos its Malaysia and our weather is really hot makin everyone here hot but cos he has only been here 5 months and speaks awesome Malay! I think I pinched myself.....twice...Yea seriously...It would put alot of ppl I know to shame! Tsk tsk shame on yoll!
Oh and this time around I intentionally decided to skip page breaks (paragraphs) cos Im running outa time to prep for my interview. Ill be back with more ~_~

What has she been upto?

I just shot a fashion spread for Tatler. Its gona be out in August. Its a sports issue in conjuction with the Olympics. Oh no..don't expect to be seeing the models dressed in nike or adidas sports outfits, do expect the unexpected from the kinky to the cool. Here's a teaser.... imagine horse riding.... oh just wait for the issue.


It was an awful long day... I went to bed at 3.30am the day before (don't know why- seem to have insomnia these days), woke up at 6.00am and was back home only at 10.30pm.

NewMan Birthday

Firstly the picture on the left doesn't have any direct link to the content of my post. I just happend to find it today... this picture was taken by Shoalin Tiger when the bloggers gate crashed our living space ... I mean visited the dreamhome =) Anyway..I think I look nice and modely here eheh.

Last Wednesday NewMan had celebrated thier Birthday at Savanh Too. The Malaysian Dreamgirls were supposed to take to the catwalk but a pity it was that quite a few couldn't turn up...including yours truly! But I was determined to make it some how... if not for the walk at least to the party! I wanted to show my support and meet up with the girls of course!

I had a show in Mid Valley for Shu Uemura on the same day. I had to be there for the rehersal at 7am! Had to bother Kamil by making him send me at that wee hour. Then came back again to Mid Valley at 2.30pm. I would like to show you the set up of the stage and the atmosphere but I still having trouble with tarnsfering pictures =( Anywhose...it was really awesome.. It was a circular stage with hanging mobile pictures of the beauty shots from the Little Black Book 2008. My artist was Taisu. He has been in the industry not less then 10 years. He is so humble and genuinely nice.

Taisu.....

- wore all white. white school sneakers which he painted pink diomands on one side of each shoe resembling the Viktor n Rolf theme.

- only took an hour to do such fine quality make up.

- made me coffee during the photoshoot cos I kept falling asleep.

- asked me if he should go on stage with glasses or without. I told him what I thought of both the looks and he decided too look matured, sophisticated and professional by wearing the glasses.

- thinks I make him look short!

- is awesome =)

There were three lashes in the collection...Taisu used the last on in the picture above. It was quite plain comaperatively, black, longer on the outsides and cost RM250!

I was the second last model on the catwalk and the last was Amber. Her look was called The Mysterious Face Behind the Mask or something like that.... and my my did she bask in the ambience of the photgraphers! And I say that matter of factly.

When we were done we mingled around and I met my fav designer Karl. He seemed to be matching the theme colour by then! Too much sake? I dunno eheh. He introduced me to Jonathan Cheng. Of course I know, just haven't had any formal introduction. But the man really needs no introduction. So there I am... thinking what to say and not sound like everyone else ie.'Oh I like your work!' I just smile and say "yes of course I know him! I saw you in Space at Heritage that day actually" I met Raymond Choon as well...dress quirkyly as usual. I first met him at Mifa Launch 2008. And thats where I fell in love. Straight or gay I don't know... I dont care...but it was like looking at a fictional character! So its like how you love Bart Simpson or the Power Puff Girls kinda love. OMG A REAL LIFE FICTIONAL CHARACTER! (Now there's an Oxymoron for you!). He reminds me of Johnny Depp. Cos Ive seen him looking like Edward with the scissor hands and also like Charlie from the chocolate factory.

Ok So all that done I drag my bestie Afiq and grab a cab. We are headed to Mont Kiara. RM9.50 and we have arrived! Throw the huge modeling bag in Lina's car and head for Savanh Too. Whoa! There were so so many people! Savanh was like a fat guy's waist line. Bursting out! Alison,Fiqa,Eyna,Nadia,Val and Natasha greet me. They are sitting way out from the entrance obviously tired from the long day! We are delighted to meet one another.

I look for Hazel. She was so kind to reserve 3 invites for me. One for Afiq (my unofficial bodyguard who has been following me around the past few weeks - but I think its just cos he knows that if he hangs with me there will bound to be some encounter with hot girls! eheh. I kid I kid. He is sucha darling, but ...yeah i still think its partly cos of the girls! sorry Afiq), one for Kim n her boo. Lina is there for work. She's from EMI.

Then guess who I see at the entrance? Kenny Sia! He seems cuter after the show eheh. He greets me with a drink in his hand. I say "It looks very packed in there!" and he starts talking about his drink. Then he stops when he sees my confused face(raised eyebrows and all). I laugh and repeat my question. He answers me...We take a picture...I go in...and that was the last I saw of him.

It rawked cos....

So many familiar faces. Ben! my old time fren cum model consultant, the hairstylists from Shawn Cutler, Shawn himself, Designers - Keith Kee, Bonz, Models - Kit, Karen, The people from NewMan, and lots more.

I bump into Hanis inside and we are all screamy jumppy about each other. eheh

Some Singaporean NewMan cover girls or something like that were there. They just looked like many Nadias to me...again I say that matter of factly. But I dunno If they were covergirls cos they looked so small.

Hot male models throwing underwear. I caught one! So did Alison! Mine was grey tone...Alison's was YELLOW, ORANGE and GREEN! what the!!!!!!!!!haha

I catch one guy(Guy A) asking his friend(Guy B) where are the MDGs? And Guy B happily points at the singaporean chicks that were posing posing for a picture. I tap Guy B on his shoulder, he turns around. I say "Excuse me but those aren't the MDGs, dont bluff kay If u duno" I extend my hand "Hi, Im Jay. Malaysian Dreamgirl" "hahaha" he is stunned but they take it lightly. Guy A says he recognised me thats why he asked. and I tell Guy A"yalah your friend was happily trying to pull a fast one on you"

Whole lota good Martell. And excellent drinks for me thanks to Raymond! Ok wait this is not Raymond Choon, this is Raymond Xavior. But he is not related to that bald dude from X-Men. Dosen't resemble him either. He is from Indo-Chine line of retraunts (BarSavanh KL Manager - i think la, but most importantly a cool friend).

The MDG's danced the night away together with Kim!

Everyone keeps on mistaking me and Alison!

The goodie bag was awesome - discount vouchers, parker pen, clinique lip balm for men, durex, hp merchandise.

Lina was a sweetheart. Sent Afiq and me back. We were back by 12am.


When I come back I show my mom the Shu Uemura Little Black Book 2008 with me in it and the new NewMan magazine with Cindy on the Cover (and inside of course). We come to a conclusion that it doesn't look like any NewMan magazine...more like some bridal mag or a home and living kinda mag with some Martha Stewart kinda person on the cover. Wonder why they changed thier direction on this cover....Where is da sex yow?! Blame the photographer or the director or someone just tell me why it looks odd and not NewMan-ish.... Who! Its been that looooong huh?! I swear Ive been wanting to blog... only that Ive been havin some trouble transfering my pictures. Ive visually documented the past 2 weeks very well thank you but its a pity I cant show them to you...not right now anyway. I have learned that no one really wants to read when there aren't any visual stimuli. A pity that is...but understandable.

So yada yada yada aside..I finally did they photo shoot with Bibo Aswan. He used to be my student ~_~ (weird?cool?interesting?awkward? - well i'll tell u that it was all positive feelings). He is just so adorable...the blue eyed boy in class if you may. SO when I came to know about his talent I was quite shocked...not that I ever underestimated him...but cos I always saw him as very childlike (not childish mind u) so I was amazed when I saw the level of maturity and passion in his photography.
