CocoZ.Kr - Dubbed the Ultimate Korean Hangout Spot in Malaysia

Have you caught the Korean bug yet? If you haven't then know that it will chase you down in some way. From their music to their food to fashion to their serials - Korean things carry a mark of quality and innovation. I mean, how many times have you reached out for some shiny bling and are willing to pay extra because it's made in Korea? There always seems to be a sense of trust.

Now, to add to the Korean fever, Sungai Wang Plaza introduces CocoZ.Kr a brand new Korean lifestyle experience, all the way from Seoul right into the heart of Kuala Lumpur!

CocoZ.Kr is an exciting integrated Korean lifestyle concept outlet that combines food and fashion and is strategically located at the main entrance of Sungei Wang Plaza. The outlet features the first overseas location of the famous Jongno Halmeoni Kalguksu restaurant and serves up its signature handmade knife-cut noodle soup. Perfected through generations and whetting appetites since 1988, the wheat flour noodles are served in a heavenly rich and fragrant seafood broth. CocoZ.Kr also offers bingsu, or a Korean shaved ice dessert, in a variety of flavours for a sweet finish to any meal.

During the launch I joked that bingsu was actually Korean ABC (Air Batu Campur) and I nearly opted out of having it. Luckily I only nearly opted out because although the concept is the same - shaved ice, I have never tried any ice offering nearly as exquisite as the Mango Bingsu that was served to me. It - was - heavenly! The ice was so fluffy and soft. If you could ever label ice as elegant, this was it! I know..such a strange word to describe ice, but for the lack of a better word this is how I interpreted it. Oh, I miss it already!

Aside from satisfying food cravings, CocoZ.Kr is a Korean fashion hub that has brought in the best-selling nail polish appliques of Incoco. If like me you suck at applying nail polish, have no time to wait for nail polish to dry or simply have a sudden event to go to you may consider dressing your nails in Incoco nail polish strips. Incoco nail polish strips have made a name in Korea and internationally, and for the first time, is now available in Malaysia. Made of 100% nail polish, Incoco nail polish strips combine three coatings of the base, colour and top layers into one easy-to-apply self-manicure with professional results. These strips come in over 200 designs and styles, require no dry time, and last up to 14 days.

Fashion lovers can complete their look with CocoZ.Kr’s Korean accessories that brings the latest fashion trends from the streets of Hongdae right into Malaysia. CocoZ.Kr accessories are carefully curated in limited numbers to ensure that each look can be uniquely tailored to suit every style and personality. Unfortunately they do not have accessories such  as shoes, hats and belts (asking for clothes is a bit too much for the size of the store so I won't do that).

CocoZ.Kr was officially launched with a fashion show that featured supermodels and former beauty queens showcasing each aspect of CocoZ.Kr, from food to fashion. The fashion show ended on a romantic high with a mock proposal that was received with cheers and well wishes. Among those present to witness the joyous occasion were Umie Aida, the CocoZ.Kr ambassador, Megan Tan, Yvonne Sim and Tuti of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 fame my current favourite girl.

“It is no secret that the world is paying attention and taking a liking to Asian culture, especially in terms of food and fashion. Korean culture is a trend that is still going strong and we are excited to introduce this brand new concept store to Malaysia and further build the hype around all things Korean,” said Derrick Tan, Chairman of Sungei Wang Group.

“I’ve always been interested in Korean culture and fashion, and CocoZ.Kr makes a perfect hangout spot for me between shoots,” said Umie Aida, actress and CocoZ.Kr ambassador. “Incoco Nails Strips, especially, make it so convenient for me to keep my nails in perfect condition even with my busy schedule.”

Accessories, Nail Appliques and food were displayed during the fashion show

During the launch, we had the opportunity to enjoy the full CocoZ.Kr experience and were treated to complimentary manicures using Incoco Nail Appliques. We were presented with a variety of dishes available in the menu including hand pulled noodles and the heavenly bingsu that I cant stop raving about.

Some of the food you can expect at the restaurant. Can you spot the handsome Mango Bingsu? (slurps)

“CocoZ.Kr is the headquarters for the ultimate Korean lifestyle experience but each product has its own brand value and identity,” Derrick said. “Moving forward, we look to expand each brand in various aspects. For example, Incoco nail products are now sold in Kimarie’s Kota Damansara and IOI Puchong branch, allowing their customers to get a complete beauty makeover from head to toe.”

Keeping price value in mind, CocoZ.Kr offers a scrumptious and authentic Korean set meal that includes a choice of drink and a plate of dumplings starting from just RM15.00.

The Parenthood Family Park - Play, Learn, Shop, Relax, Dine

1st London Street Family Park in Malaysia

On the 5th of December 2015, 'The Parenthood' will be opening it's doors to the public. The Parenthood is Malaysia's 1st London Street Family Park. Me and my little family were invited to experience The Parenthood before they officially open their doors to the public.

Located on the 2nd Floor of Sunway Putra Mall is a place for modern day parents & kids to hangout

Do you remember 'The Mall' opposite Putra World Trade Centre, PWTC? Well is now Sunway Putra Mall. The Parenthood is located on the 2nd floor of this upgraded mall. The Parenthood is very suitable for young families with kids between 0-12 but actually pre-teens may find stuff to do as well.
You will find many places to stop and snap pics of your munchkins

The Parenthood is designed with a London theme and would definitely make for a nice place to take pictures of your kids.  It is very nicely spaced out with shops nestled along yellow marked 'tar' roads against the backdrop of an English castle. There is the Big Ben, the Red London Bus, British Flags, Red Post Boxes and Red Telephone booths (that will soon house ATM machines) among others that will fascinate your little ones.

The family oriented hangout comprises 4 main components as below:

Relaxation & Leisure

Family Fitness Room - offers WiO Express's Power Plate (if you like to just stand there and like a machine to exercise you) and other fitness props for the whole family.

A Beauty Secret - hair care products & services, facial, massage, pedicure & manicure for both parents & kids!

A Beauty Secret Studio offers a whole range of services for the whole family

You could be relaxing here while the kids are being taken care of

They had a special of offer where parent hair cut is 20% Off & kid gets a free cut

Some of the many nail colours and medication for pedi mani

Educational Activities & Play

Activities engaging parents & kids such as workshops, take home kits and enrichment programs

Do you know you can actually paint these by yourself? The kit is number coded so it's pretty fool proof

After your plant grows, The Parenthood will organize further classes for example cook your own homegrown Tomatoes! (for your kids to participate)

My son having fun at the Zoo Moo interactive screen while waiting for his lunch

My Kingdom playground by The Parenthood - The ultimate way to tire out your kids while you kick back and relax. Just wait till they go home or knock out in the car! The best part about this is the 'Drop & Shop' concept for kids 4 years and older. Each child that enters and their parent will be given a coded wristband. The child will only be allowed to leave the premise with an adult wearing the matching code number which is keyed in to the system. The child will be kept under the watchful eye of one of the many assistants on duty. They also have 2 units of X-Box 360 for the bigger kids to play. The playground has many difficulty levels and could be a hit for bigger children too.

Assistants are constantly watching over the kids

A variety of obstacles with varying difficulty levels make this a fun place for a big age range

So here is our lil 0 Year old enjoying herself on something

The joy in the faces that shall soon be fast asleep =)

Kids get a complete workout

Dining

At the moment there is only one cafe there that claims to offer healthy food. The cakes were mouth watering to look at and my hubby had a nasi lemak which was not too bad either. However, I was not too impressed with the nuggets I ordered for my son as it look like the store bought ones.
